Brief History
Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education came into existence in 1994 at College of Veterinary Science and A.H., Jabalpur. However the department started masters degree programme (M.V.Sc.) from the session 2010 only.
Objectives of the Department
- Conduct extension research tailored to meet the needs of our farmers
- Foster adoption of innovations in animal husbandry among end-users.
- Evaluate and refine innovations developed by NDVSU through technology assessment.
- Implement human resource development (HRD) programs in veterinary extension.
- Promote convergence and collaboration to support sustainable farming practices.

- “Climate smart –DAIRY INFORMATION PORTAL” was developed through academic research in the year 2023. This dairy information portal (DIP, http://ndvsu-csdip.web.app) is the ‘Bilingual-Hindi & English) dairy information portal and contents of this portal are:
1.Daily Climatic parameters show in the portal such as temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, etc 2.Climate change scenario of Madhya Pradesh 3. Indigenous breeds of Madhya Pradesh 4.
